Sick Electro Mechanical Safety Switches
Sick Electro Mechanical Safety Switches monitor mobile separative protective devices economically and reliably. The wide Sick portfolio of switches means the appropriate safety solutions can be found for different safety applications.
Sick Safety Switches with Separate Actuator
Sick Safety Switches with separate actuator are made up of two distinct parts. The safety switch is mounted onto a fixed part and the actuator on the mobile part of the protective device. When the protective device is closed, the actuator is moved into the safety switch. This achieves the safe status and the safety relevant contacts are closed.
I12S
Handy type for simple mounting
- Small plastic housing
- Rigid and mobile actuators
- 1 cable entry gland M16 x 1.5
- Slow action switching elements with two or three contacts
Sick Safety Locking Devices
Sick Safety Locking Devices are used for keeping protective devices safely locked until a hazardous area can be entered. Sick locking devices are intended for application in where thee is an immediate danger to people due to follow on movements. Sick provide two restraint types: In spring force locking, the protective device is held closed by spring force. In magnetic force locking, the protective device is held closed by activation of the magnetic coil. Sick products differ in terms of their type, restraint type and electrical design.
I10 Lock
Highly flexible with narrow shape
- Narrow plastic housing
- Either rigid or mobile actuators
- 3 cable entry glands M20 or M12 plug connector
- Locked by spring force and magnetic force
- Locking and door monitoring
Sick Non Contact Safety Switches
Intelligent solutions - low wastage and low maintenance
Sick Non Contact Safety Switches are ideal where precise guidance of protective devices is difficult as their low wastage and low maintenance design makes them extremely long lasting. Sick Non Contact switches are resistant to shocks and vibrations and offer a high level of tamper proofing.
Sick Magnetic Safety Switches
Sick Magnetic Safety Switches are non contact safety switches. Sick switches are equipped with complementary switching or equivalent switching contact. Sick Magnetic safety switches are commonly used in areas where a high level of contamination occurs. Sick switches are simple to clean, enabling high standards of hygiene. The switches principle of operation enables greater tolerances making them ideal for application where precise guidance of the protective device is difficult.
RE11/RE21/RE31
Complementary switching - with all types
- Block-shaped or cylindrical plastic housing
- Response range up to 6 mm
- 1 NO/1 NC contact
- Up to performance level PL e (EN ISO 13849)
- Direct connection to safety controller possible
- M8 plug connector or connected cable
- Actuator with code
- Sensor and actuator up to enclosure rating IP 67
Sick Safety Command Devices
Sick Safety Command devices ensure that dangerous movements are reliably stopped or critical machine function is reliably initiated.
The Sick product range offers appropriate solutions for different application with tailor made functions and performance.
Sick Emergency Stop Pushbuttons
Sick ES21 emergency stop pushbuttons are essential in automated machinery and systems. Sick pushbuttons make it possible for users to stop a machine or a system (immediately in case of an emergency). Depending on the variant, emergency stop pushbuttons are either integrated in a machine control panel as built in versions or else mounted with their housing directly on the machine as surface mounted versions.
ES21
Essential in all safety applications
- Either as surface-mounted version with housing or as built-in version (Ø 22 mm)
- Built-in version for machine control panels with self-monitoring contacts between the pushbutton and switching element
- Surface-mounted version for direct mounting on different machinery and systems
- Rotational or key unlocking
- Variants with LED ring lighting
- Optionally, with protective collar to prevent inadvertent actuation
- Screw connection in all variants
